Shit..its been 3 months...

12.54pm Tuesday, and its been more then 3 months since I've written anything in this damn thing... ah well.. I did say in the last post .."until whenever". The last few months have been a little bit of a Blur, I did a great interview with the amazing director Doug Walker - see below... I've been raising the cutest kid ever, aaaand I've spent 4 weeks in a construction site opening a new studio to add to the 28on27 portfolio. #notjustaprettyface. I'm finally realizing that my personality has a strange duality, (star sign cusp maybe?)  I need to have my cake and eat it.. that means photography and business. It's cyclical.
I'm emerging from the business zone and feeling the urge to make stuff...... I have to feed both my business mind and my creative mind to feel satisfied.

I'm going to try and post more in this blog as I start to make "new stuff" for a show in March.... it all starts with the photography image, then we'll see where it goes.

Good Morning Israel

Good Morning Israel!!
6.35 am and the light here is amazing... I'd forgotten how beautiful daylight photographs.

Finally I can make an entry in this blog..no idea if anyone is reading it..but at least I know I'm making the effort..

Since the last posting I've had an awesome time, the "Paradise" exhibition went live..with a great response, and a bunch of people purchased smaller print editions to take home.

That makes me happy..

The surfboard I designed for Runa was a hit, and we put out a second surf board with the night vision that my friends over at Galleray took to a tech event called Pygotham....as soon as I get it back I'll post it so you can check it out...

There was also two short films that went with the show that I was super pleased with.."CRASH" is gorge...my wireless connection is shit..so post later.

So after 2 months of excitement I am resting! A little R & R with the family in Israel.. I've got my Canon G12 with me so there'll be plenty of pictures to post later. Until next week.. or month... or whatever...

Mag Interviews.. whaaaat??!?!

Hey Blog..

Damn its been crazy busy .. (excuses excuses..) This weeks been pretty cool.. did two interviews about the upcoming show .. one with a new gallery stite.."galleray", and another one with hill billy magazine writer/publisher chris lusher... It was very movie esque.. think smoking cigarette, black rimmed glasses and a beer at 4pm. (wish i had a screenshot). I've also just become crazy obsessed with twitter @lolafotography #notjustaprettyface...

Saturday! ...and I have failed miserably with my mission of updating the blog regularly. POO..
A small update, Aaron the gallery intern is gone .. but now there's a new intern Lynne who is lovely.
HI LYNNE! The big kahuna show is less then 3 weeks away and is almost ready. The Runa Tea surfboard I absolutely cannot wait to show off.. its gorgeous. They may have to pry it from me to get it.

"The Show"

I'm back.. only a day late so that's not bad going. Today has been a mad house in the studio and I can barely think. However I do want to share that we are preparing for the "paradise" show which will be my first photo show since 2010.. FRIG.  This is when I introduce you to aaron.. our lovely gallery assistant :)

This is him trying to find a printer... and also you'll see Keisha our new studio kitty and Justin my ever harassed business partner.

So lets talk about the show.. I'm going crazy for the ocean right now..bright mad colors in Neon and water. So we are going to create a combination of pieces for the show that fuses all these elements together in different ways. I'm headed to Mexico on Saturday to get ocean and sun images, and I've picked up some surf boards to work with....
